Terrestrial Reach
The primary service of Doordarshan is reaching 86.9 per cent of the population and 67.4 per cent of the area of the country, as on October 31,1994, through a network of terrestrial TV transmitters. There are 32 programme production centres at different parts of the country, originating programmes for regional as well as national programme services. In addition, a Central Production Centre equipped with modern and sophisticated technical facilities, is operational in Delhi.
