IGNOU BSW 2010 Bachelor in Social Work
Bachelor in social work aims at generating a workforce to meet the growing demand for professionally aim Social workers at the center and lower levels particularly in the social welfare and NGO sectors. The programme is of 96 credits with three major components as given below:
A) Foundation Course (24 Credits)
The apprentice has to opt for foundation course worth 24 credits (as per the list given under the School of Humanities)
B) Elective Courses (8 Credits each)
BSWE-001 Introduction to Social Work
BSWE-002 Social Work Intervention with Individuals and Groups
BSWE-003 Social Work Intervention with Communities and Institutions
BSWE-004 Introduction to Family Education
BSWE-005 Introduction to HIV/AIDS
BSWE-006 Substance Abuse and Counselling
C) Practicals (8 Credits each)
BSWL-001 Social Work Practicum-I
BSWL-002 Social Work Practicum-II
BSWL-003 Social Work Practicum-III
