What is Print Journalism ?
The history of Indian Journalism dates back to 1780, with an English newspaper 'Bengal Gazette' published by James Augusts Hickey at Serampore near Calcutta (Kolkata) in West Bengal. Since then, the sector has undergone tremendous changes. Over the years, with the rapid progress made in almost all important sectors right from education to social, economic, political, cultural and revolutionary changes in the field of information technology, at national and international levels, newspaper journalism has grown both in form and quality. These developments has accorded greater significance making it more challenging, interesting as well as a lucrative profession.
