GMAT selectively waives $250 fee

The Graduate Management Admission Council, which distributes the GMAT test, the business school entry exam, is to offer the test free of charge to those who can not afford the $250 fee on their own. The fee waiver programme will be available to hundreds of students across the globe, including those from countries such as India, where the test is proving increasingly popular.

Under the scheme, business schools that use the GMAT will be able to offer access to the exam to a limited number of prospective students who cannot afford the $250 fee. The programme will be underwritten by GMAC and participating schools will determine the rules for selecting the appropriate students to receive the waivers.
