MARINE ENGINEERING AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE invites for the application form for the One Year Pre-Sea Marine Engineering Training Courses. A few seats of One Year Pre-Sea Marine Engineering Training Courses starting from 01st January, 2010 are likely to remain vacant after admission of sponsored candidates. Available vacant seats will be filled up through direct admissions.

MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Eligibility Critieria:

1. Indian nationality.
2. B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical or Naval Archtecture) Degree from AICTE approved college or IIT with 50% marks or 10+2.


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Age:

Maximum 25 years for this course till (1st January, 2010) (5 years less for SC/ST candidates, 2 years for female candidates applicable).


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Medical Standard:


MS medical standards for pre sea training. Good health and eyesight in general. Medical fitness certificate from D.G.S. approved medical practitioner to be obtained before admission.


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Selection Critieria:


Through merit and Interview


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Course Fee:

Rs.200000/- (Subject to revision by Management Committee, from time to time).


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Processing Fee:

Rs.1000/- by D.D. issued by a nationalized bank in the name of “Depty Director, Marne Engineering and Research Institute, Mumbai” payable at Mumbai.


MUMBAI NAVY ENGINEER ADMISSION - Application Procedure:


Application form from this ofice thorugh Email/in person or through post by enclosing 25 cms x 13 cms size self addressed stamped (Rs.20/-) envelope. Filling up of application form does not guarantee admission. MERI-mUMBAI RESERVES THE RIGHT TO POSTPONE/CANCEL the selection process for the course at any stage without assigning any reason and no cmmunication in this regard will be entertained. M.E.R.I. organizes campus interview of placement of cadets on ships for onboard training.
