Garment Fabrication Technology
This Department conducts a 2-year diploma course in Garment Fabrication Technology. The students are imparted theory and practical knowledge in the fields of basic textiles, textiles testing, basic fashion designing, sampling, computer aided designing, pattern development, layouts, production, quality control, project preparation, industrial exposure, management and merchandising etc. The Department is equipped with requisite infrastructural support and facilities. The passed out students are able to get placement as production managers/ supervisors, self entrepreneurs, textile-testing jobs, senior executives, ' fashion co-ordinators, quality controllers, designers, merchandisers, designers & executives meeting technological needs of garment industry. This course has excellent prospects specially for boys.
